Isabel Strychacz

Isabel Strychacz grew up in a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she read all the books she could find and wrote the books she couldn’t.

She earned two degrees in English/Creative Writing and History from Mills College in California, and won the college’s award for top fiction prose in 2016. She’s currently in her final year of a MFA degree in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Isabel lives in the heart of England with her husband and daughter, where she works as a copywriter for a global marketing agency.

Isabel’s debut novel Starling came out in 2021 with Simon & Schuster, followed by House of Thorns in 2024, which was named as an Amazon Editor’s Pick Best Book of August. Her upcoming novel Thirteen Midnights comes out in 2026.
