Please take the time to review some of our suggested sources:
For nonfiction, Michael Larsen's How To Write a Book Proposal and be sure to see our
Proposal Cheat Sheet, a quick checklist for book proposals!
For fiction and narrative nonfiction, Renni Browne and Dave King's Self Editing for Fiction Writers
, a slim paperback, this is an indispensable resource for writers at any stage of their careers.
For children's books, we recommend the valuable resources provided by the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators (www.scbwi.org).
For all writers, the updated version of Publicize Your Book (Updated): An Insider's Guide to Getting Your Book the Attention It Deserves by Jacqueline Deval
For constant inspiration on the trials and tribulations of (and laughter to be found in!) the writing life, see Anne Lamott's Bird By Bird.

On Going Green!
We strongly believe in the environmental movement and are taking action to preserve our earth, one sheet of paper at a time! We are actively seeking new authors to add to our "green" list,
which includes I LOVE DIRT! 52 ACTIVITIES TO HELP YOU & YOUR KIDS DISCOVER THE WONDERS OF NATURE by Jennifer Ward, SEWING GREEN and WARM FUZZIES by Betz White, and THE BUSY TREE and other

We welcome authors who bring inspiration and tips on living a eco-friendly life to readers everywhere. So please keep us in mind for those green books!
